Một nghiên cứu mới chỉ ra rằng nơi chúng ta đi du lịch không nhất thiết liên quan đến mức độ nổi tiếng của chúng ta với người dân địa phương.
Pew Research Center’s Global Attitudes survey found that although Mexico is the No. 1 destination for Americans, only 44 percent of Mexican respondents said they have a favorable opinion of American visitors. South Korea, which isn’t among the top 10 destinations for Americans, gave us the highest rating: 77 percent surveyed said they have a positive view of Americans. (The survey was taken before the recent controversy over imports of U.S. beef.)
The next nine most popular destinations, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the favorable-opinion rating for Americans are: Canada, 76 percent; U.K., 70 percent; Italy, 62 percent; France, 64 percent; Germany, 55 percent; Japan, 65 percent; Jamaica, not included in survey; China, 38 percent; Spain, 41 percent.
Additional nations that rated Americans favorably include Poland, 70 percent; Tanzania, 69 percent; and Australia, 63 percent.
Americans nearly struck out in Turkey, where the percentage of favorable opinion was 13.
